A katyusha rocket was fired from Lebanon into the Galilee tonight. I think it might be the first since the end of the Lebanon war.

A projectile landed inside of Israeli territory near Biranit in the Galilee, 700 meters from the Lebanese border overnight Monday, according to police. Army Radio reported that the projectile was a Katyusha rocket fired from Lebanon.

No injuries or damage were reported in the attack.

An explosion was also heard in the Ma’alot area in the Western Galilee. Police were searching the area with the help of the IDF for signs of an additional projectile falling.

According to Hebrew Ynet, there were 2 or even 3 rockets that were fired into northern Israel.  Thank G-d there were no injuries or damage.

This is a worrying new phenomenon. Let us hope that it’s a one-off and not the start of something worse
