I had several nice items lined up for a Good News Friday post but in the end I ran out of time. The reason for this, as is evident from my title, is that we are the proud new grandparents of a beautiful baby girl, and we have just returned home from Jerusalem where we enjoyed the unique pleasure of holding a new grandchild in our arms.
The new parents are our youngest daughter and husband. Or as several people have remarked – my baby has had a baby!
Here is the princess in all her glory
She was born at 2.30 am in Shaarei Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem (That’s Jerusalem, Israel in case the State Department is reading this!). Mother and baby are doing very well thank G-d. Mother is exhausted, Father is ecstatic!
Interestingly the new baby (still nameless) was born on the 1st birthday of our last granddaughter! So now the two cousins can have a shared party and fight over the presents! 😀
Even more coincidentally – or maybe there is no such thing as coincidence – the baby (and her cousin) – was born on International Holocaust Memorial Day. What better way to deny victory to the Nazis who wished to destroy us than by producing more Jewish babies, especially when they live in the Land of Israel.
Heartiest Mazal Tov to Vered and Pini, the new parents, to our parents – the proud and honoured great-grandparents – and to all the uncles and aunts and great-uncles and aunts, and multitudes of cousins on all sides!
May we continue to celebrate Smachot.
Wishing you all Shabbat shalom and Chodesh Tov.
Mazal tov enjoy. She’s so gorgeous. And definitely an answer to the vicious Nazis and all anti semitic Jew haters.
May she and all her cousins together with all Jewish children (and their families)worldwide live long healthy productive lives in safety ad 120
Amen! Thank you! 🙂
This is great, congrats. Until you have them you do not even imagine what it is. Enjoy.
It’s the best club ever! Thank you for your good wishes 🙂
